When you are driving in your car and Jimmy Buffett’s “Margaritaville” starts to play on your radio; can you smell the ocean waves and feel the sand under your feet?
Music, it has been around in one form or another since the beginning of time. It is man’s river of emotional memories. It can be used to creatively express a multitude of emotions from happiness, sadness, joy, sorrow, excitement, melancholy, and of course love. Even before adding lyrics to the melody we can be mesmerized by the beat, tone, and intensity of the sounds; stealing away our current thoughts, replacing them with memories long forgotten. These notes when tied to our emotions can enhance the way we remember, memorialize, teach, praise, worship, and yes…even love or hate someone or something.
