Division; Contradiction to the Truth

Two people disagree and fail to communicate

The Prediction of Division

“I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! But I have a baptism to undergo, and what constraint I am under until it is completed! Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division. From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three. They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.”

A little over two thousand years ago this prophesy was spoken by a man committed to teaching, professing and living the truth.  Not a truth applicable to only one person or one group of people.  No, this man was speaking about the natural laws that effect all mankind.  All races of people and both genders are equal under these eternal laws.  This simple man understood that people, when faced with the truth, would choose one of three ways to react to it; they would either accept it, reject it or ignore it. Despite the choice they would make, others in their life would choose to react in opposition to their decision causing unavoidable division.

The orator who declared this prediction knew that the truth must be made known and that the division coming from any disagreements were the prices that had to be paid.  As a leaders by example, he himself would pay the ultimate price for speaking, thinking and acting on the truth but through his model the entire world changed accordingly.  No longer would the truth be hidden from the masses and any dissension would have to be dealt with as resulting consequences.

Those words were first spoken long ago but consider the division in today’s society.  The media claims we are more divided than ever before.  If this is indeed a fact then could it be because we have people reacting in opposition to the truth others are trying to make known?

Take for example the headlines of today; “A Third Option for Gender”.  Eleven States have voted to allow a gender neutral option on driver licenses.  The scientific supported truth is that there are only two genders, male or female.  There is no third option.  Sure, people can chose to claim to be a male when they are a female and vice a versa but their DNA will always confirm their true gender.  This will cause division naturally because people oppose lies especially when the country’s law making bodies create laws that contradict the truth.

Another example in the news; “Lawmakers Accused of White Supremacy”.  All people are created equal under the natural laws.  Whether your skin is black, white, red or yellow makes no difference to your talents, skills or abilities.  The law of gravity doesn’t treat you differently, the laws of motion will affect your life the same as it affects mine.  The truth will be equally fair with you and your neighbor, but as long as we continue to try to argue with the truth there will be division.

A third example is the immigrant crisis. Whenever our actions circumvent the law by definition we are doing something illegal. To call it anything else is a lie. Those who oppose the truth can’t change it by naming it something less threatening; undocumented alien. The truth will still remain and as will the division.

The silly thing about division, it all boils down to selfishness.  We want what we want and the truth doesn’t matter when we are being selfish.  Division will end when we all want the truth even when it goes against our personal desires. The fact is people live in the truth, we will never be able to change or control it.

The Highest Levels of Humanity

Humanity is more than just being born of the human species.  It is a level of existence that no other creature can take part in yet sometimes its greatness is taken for granted by those born into it.   Think of it as connecting our individual selves to one other so as to enrich society through our personal growth of talents, skills and abilities. It is like being pieces of a puzzle; you know you belong in the picture but you are not quite sure where or how you fit.

It can be an overwhelming undertaking since no one is born having already reaching their true potential.  In order to reach our full potential we must rely on and then use the guidance offered by the natural laws.  These constant truths are the rules and life lessons that must be adhered to and mastered regardless of who we are.  Every human is born equal yet unique and can participate in the benefits of following these natural laws if they so choose but it is not required nor is it easy.

The reasons we do not choose to follow the truths of humanity and the consequences associated with it can be made clear by one of these laws.  The Law of Poor Behavior says that the human reality toward the poor handling of the truth can be explained in three ways.

  1. We can accidentally choose wisely without knowing the truth.
  2. We can be completely mistaken about the truth but still arrive at the truth through the unforeseen consequences of our past decisions.
  3. We can know the truth but choose to ignore it completely for our own selfish reasons.

On the positive side, when we choose to embrace the truths of humanity, The Law of Developmental Growth outlines the process very simply.   The law states that no physical, spiritual or mental growth can take place without first being tested at a higher and usually uncomfortable level of endurance and passing the test.  In other words, to get better we must first step outside our normal comfort zone.  Physically, muscles have to be stretched; mentally, minds must be challenged with new ideas and spiritually we have to grow to new heights of love and understanding.  A meaningful life experience can only occur through the constant repeating of the growth cycle; moving from content, to uneasy, to success; driving us to a higher level of comfort.  By dying to our old ways, we can reach this new level of contentment which brings us back to the beginning and the cycle starts all over again.

From the very moment of conception our cells are brought to their limits before dividing into new cells.  After nine months from the birth of conception, the comfortable infant is physically forced to leave the safety and comfort of the mother’s womb to be thrust into a whole new scary second birth.  This experience is so intense, experts say that it is good that the child does not have the mental awareness to understand what is happening.   You could say, our birth is the first of many very traumatic life cycles. Each cycle has a birth, growth and a death. The cycle of life.

From that moment on the baby will begin the journey of thousands of such cycles.  It will be born, grow and die multiple times and in countless ways.  As this new person develops their three personas, he or she will need to experience repeated discomfort and forced growth before reaching a new and more comfortable existence.  In school the student will be born again into a new grades of education where new curricula will be presented.  For the student to excel they will have to endure hours of study and pass repeated testing before reaching the next and harder level of advancement.

When we become adults our learning methods change but they never stop.  In all aspects of our lives we will be challenge by the choices we make.  If we do well and make the right choices we develop into a higher level of comfort.  If we slack and make poor choices, we remain at the same level of existence or worse, we decline into a state of suffering.  The better our choices, the more that we challenge our self and the more vested we become in our positive improvement; the higher our growth and development will be.

After living the life we have crafted, another cycle will end and a new one will begin.  Most people who believe in the natural laws, also believe in a life continuance after death.  It is believed that the level of comfort we will experience in our next plane of existence will depend greatly on the amount of effort we put forth during our earthly life.  It make sense, as it follows the decree of all natural laws, we are each given a present, a past and a future.  What we make of our future depends on what we learned from the past and how we apply the lessons in our present.

If this is my last post, I want all to know there was only one purpose for all that I have written; to have made a positive difference in the lives of others.

Riots, Rallies, and Rebellions

The three “R”s of discontent; riots, rallies, and rebellions is not just another example behind the power of the wisdom of three.  No, it also represents the societies’ manifestations of their constant quest for the truth.  Not what each individual conceives to be the truth, rather the real truth.

Recently the United States witnessed a very divisive national election cycle filled with rally after rally followed immediately by nationwide demonstrations both peaceful and not so peaceful.  These assemblies were promoted to and by assorted factions either in support of, opposition to, or in search of the truth.  The funny thing is that each of these groups swore that they were supporting the truth and what they believed was right, just, and true.

How can this be?

Is it possible that some of these various factions do not care about the truth but rather have their own agenda?  It has been documented that depending upon who they are addressing; whether it is their membership, their opposition, or the public at large the message they espouse can be much different allowing for a glimmer of truth to stay embedded while still championing their unique cause or stance.  Regardless if their messaging is a hundred percent true or even remotely supports the truth, it will always be portrayed as the truth because every just person wants to believe that their thoughts, words and deeds are on the side of truth.  And for there lays the problem; a truth can never be a lie and a lie can never be a truth, for both are constant.  This problem was solved almost three thousand years ago by Aristotle in the Law of Non-Contradiction yet still today we, as a people, fail to grasp the meaning of this simple law.

Take as an example the women’s right movement.  The single and undeniable truth is that women deserve the exact same human rights as men.  All people should be treated equally under the laws of the land.  No rational person should dispute this truth.

Now, as example, there are literally thousands of association, groups and organizations that support this truth; Planned Parenthood, Catholic Charities, National Organization for Women, just to name a few.  The above mentioned women groups cannot be more fundamentally different yet they each were founded for the betterment of women’s rights.  When a women rally is held there is likely to be women from many different organization, companies or associations in attendance all believing the above truth but their definition of rights might vary greatly.  Some of these organizations believe that it is a right of a woman to be able to have an abortion while others do not see this as a right.  Those that don’t condone abortion believe another truth; that it is not just to kill an innocent life in the absence of a crime or danger to the mother.

Does one truth over ride the other?

Another truth that always gets lost in these discussions is the fact that men and women are different.  After years of scientific and psychological research the experts all agree that male and female genders pose physical, mental and emotional differences in our species.  These truths are indisputable yet seem to not matter to some of these groups.  Even with these differences the truth remains that as a human we share the need for equality under the laws of the land.

Without a doubt, we are a unique and interesting species. Humans will always fine bad reasons for good ideas and good reasons for bad ideas.  This is the sole reason why ethically minded people as well as morally supportive organizations struggle to find common ground on ideological differences. The individuals associated with a group usually find just enough information to either agree or disagree with the cause yet they do not necessarily care or wish to dig deep enough to learn about the truth in question.

The Truth gets lost in the mix of individual’s thoughts, words and deeds.

When we, as a society, can finally figure out how to accept that an individual’s reality may or may not reflect the truth and thus when false should have no weight to sway others; only then will we be able to live in world wide peace.  When we acknowledge that the Truth remains constant regardless of our individual Thoughts, Reasons, or Ideals then we will have no need for these divisive plagues of disagreement.
