Have you ever considered that every three months, the earth goes through climactic change. We call what happens the four seasons. Humanity also has four seasons, and we must complete three stages before moving to the next one.
Spring (Childhood)
We learn to engage with the world, ask questions, and embrace a sense of wonder.
We begin to build a foundation through developing basic values, skills, and knowledge that will serve as the bedrock for future growth.
We learn to love, fostering connections with family, friends, and mentors who will guide and nurture us.
Summer (Youth/Prime Years)
We seek to understand our unique gifts and calling, aligning our passion with meaningful goals.
We start to realize we must focus our energy on growth, whether in personal relationships, professional development, or spiritual enlightenment; cultivating success takes consistent effort and is ongoing.
It is at this point that we must learn to embrace all aspects of life, cherishing moments of happiness, showing gratitude for our unique journey, and acceptance of those things we cannot control. This is where God is truly revealed to us.
Autumn (Middle Age/Maturity)
We begin to apply our education, reflect on lessons learned from experiences, and use them to guide others and deepen our own understanding.
This is when we acknowledge and appreciate the fruits of our labor and the gifts from God, focusing on contentment and fulfillment.
The process begins of sharing our knowledge and gifts, mentoring and inspiring others for their benefit, not ours.
Winter (Later Years/Serenity)
This is where we strive to find peace, rest, and serenity in acceptance, letting go of our previous failures and trying to come to grips with the end of our earthly existence.
We desire to be a beacon of guidance and inspiration for younger generations, enriching their seasons with our perspective.
The recognition is complete, we fully understand that life’s journey is cyclical; finding joy in the hope of eternal peace and faith in the renewal that follows winter.
Just as the earth transforms with the passage of each season, so too does the human spirit evolve. And the beauty lies in knowing that both the seasons of earth and the seasons of life are part of a greater, eternal cycle. Each phase carries its own unique gifts, reminding us to fully embrace the season we’re in.
If this is my last post, I want all to know there was only one purpose for all that I have written; to have made a positive difference in the lives of others.
