We Are Chosen From Birth

We are born for a reason. We don’t know what, why, or when, but we are born with a destiny and a mission already planned out. The older we become, the more evidence of this truth is revealed to us. Every baby is a gift to the world, and that gift is to be given at the right time, to the right audience, and with the right intention; we just don’t know it right away. We are born to be an apostle, one who is chosen.

Chosen, Sent, and Shaped by service, this is the rhythm of every true apostolic life. The first Twelve Apostles were not selected because they were impressive, educated, or influential. They were fishermen, tax collectors, ordinary men with ordinary flaws. Yet Jesus chose them first to learn the truth, to sit at His feet, to let His words reorder their minds and His presence reshape their hearts. Before they ever preached a sermon, healed a wound, or performed a miracle, they were students of the Master, absorbing the Kingdom one encounter at a time.

Then He sent them out. Not because they were ready, but because He was with them. Their greatness did not precede their calling; it flowed from it. As they professed the truth, stumbling at times, growing in courage, and trusting in grace, they discovered that God’s power works best through willing vessels, not perfect ones.

Finally, they were commanded to live the truth through service. The truth is never meant to be hoarded or hidden, it demands to be shared. Their authority was not measured by status but by sacrifice. Their leadership was not defined by position but by the willingness to wash feet, carry crosses, and give their lives for others. In living the truth, they became the foundation stones of a Church that would outlast empires.

So, it is with us. We are not chosen because we are great; we become great because we are chosen. When we learn the truth with humility, profess it with conviction, and live it with love, we step into the same apostolic legacy, a legacy that transforms the world one act of faithful service at a time.

If this is my last post, I want all to know there was only one purpose for all that I have written; to have made a positive difference in the lives of others.
